The ZOLL CPR-D padz are not standard defibrillation pads. They are a single, one-piece electrode that uses CPR hand placement as the positioning landmark — making correct pad placement faster and more intuitive for a bystander under pressure. They also incorporate Real CPR Help® technology, which senses and reports compression rate and depth back to the AED in real time.

Why CPR Feedback Matters

Inadequate compression rate and depth are common during CPR — even among trained rescuers under stress. Adult patients need at least 100 compressions per minute at a depth of at least 5cm. The CPR-D padz sensors detect what’s actually happening and prompt the rescuer to adjust, improving the quality of CPR while waiting for paramedics to arrive.
