Philips HeartStart FRx Defibrillator (861304)
The HeartStart FRx is an easy-to-use, rugged, reliable AED for those who get there first. It incorporates several features to ensure it is ready when needed, with minimum maintenance required. Although most sudden cardiac arrests don’t happen in extreme environments, some do. The HeartStart FRx is designed to work wherever rescuers may have to go: in the rain, onboard aircraft, on metal surfaces, or in industrial areas. The FRx withstands jetting water, loads up to 250 kg, and 1-metre drops to a concrete floor. It is also dust-protected.
Reliable
HeartStart FRx is built with the knowledge of an installed base of over 600,000 HeartStart AEDs (September 2009). Since 1997 and the introduction of Heartstart FR, the HeartStart family of AED products, including FR2 and HS1, has been sold in numbers second to none. The continued performance through the years and the quality of these devices stand out in the AED industry; for many leading organisations around Australia, HeartStart defibrillators are their AED of choice. Real-time, step-by-step voice commands paced to your actions, and an audible metronome and CPR guidance assist the responder. When treating an infant or child, insert the optional infant/child key, and the FRx adjusts instructions and therapy.
Easy as 1–2–3
- Press the green On/Off button, which activates voice instruction and visual icons.
- Place the pads on the patient as directed.
- When advised by the device, press the orange Shock button.
Designed to work wherever you need
Lightweight, rugged and reliable, the Philips HeartStart FRx defibrillator can withstand rough handling, extreme temperatures, and dusty or wet surfaces. It is designed for harsh settings, can withstand up to 500 kg (1,100 lbs), and drops from 1.2 m (4 ft).
Ready. Simplified maintenance
Pre-connected SMART Pads II can be used for both adults and children. Once installed and activated, the FRx is easy to maintain. It performs a series of automatic self-tests, daily, weekly, and monthly, to check pad readiness and verify functionality and calibration of circuits and systems. It can last up to four years between battery replacements.
Virtually maintenance-free
Heartstart FRx requires no regular or contractual technical maintenance programs. All vital functions are tested in the internal self-test program, including full energy charge/discharge. A brief visual inspection confirms whether the FRx is functional or not. The blinking green status indicator is the” ready” signal, ensuring all is well. Otherwise, the FRx will produce an audio signal to notify that inspection is required. With the FRx in standby mode, maintenance is visual inspection and replacement of consumables such as pads(every two years) and battery (every four years)
